Not every illness or injury is an emergency, but that doesn’t mean it should wait. Springtown Emergency Animal Hospital provides urgent and after-hours veterinary care for pets that need prompt attention, whether something comes up after work, your regular veterinarian is closed, or traditional clinic hours don’t fit your schedule.
From vomiting and minor injuries to limping, infections, and sudden changes in behavior, our team can evaluate what’s going on and help get your pet the care they need.
While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are also welcome. Appointments scheduled at least 24 hours in advance are billed at a discounted rate and may help reduce your wait.

When Should I Bring My Pet to Urgent Care?
Not every health concern requires emergency care, but many illnesses and injuries still need prompt veterinary attention. Urgent care may be appropriate when your pet is stable but sick, injured, uncomfortable, or experiencing symptoms that shouldn’t wait for a routine appointment.

Our evening and late night hours make it easier to get your pet seen when symptoms develop after work, your regular veterinarian is closed, or waiting for the next available appointment isn’t the best option.
Vomiting, Diarrhea & Gastrointestinal Issues
Evaluation and treatment for vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, digestive problems, and other gastrointestinal symptoms that are concerning but do not appear to be life threatening.
Minor Injuries, Wounds & Lacerations
Veterinary care for cuts, scrapes, minor wounds, lacerations, minor animal bites, and injuries that need attention but do not require emergency stabilization.
Limping, Pain & Mobility Problems
Evaluation for limping, soreness, pain, swelling, difficulty moving, and other sudden changes in your pet’s mobility or comfort.
Ear, Eye & Skin Problems
Treatment for ear infections, eye irritation or discharge, itching, rashes, hot spots, skin infections, and other uncomfortable conditions that shouldn’t have to wait for a routine appointment.
Coughing, Sneezing & Respiratory Illness
Evaluation for coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, and other respiratory symptoms in pets that are otherwise stable and breathing comfortably.
Urinary Problems
Evaluation and treatment for changes in urination, frequent urination, accidents, discomfort while urinating, and other urinary concerns that need prompt veterinary attention.
Allergic Reactions & Swelling
Care for mild allergic reactions, localized swelling, itching, insect bites, and other reactions in pets that are stable and not experiencing difficulty breathing.
Post Surgical & Follow Up Concerns
Evaluation for unexpected discomfort, swelling, incision concerns, changes in behavior, or other problems that arise while your pet is recovering from surgery or a recent veterinary procedure.
